More stupid hot weather to come...in Spring. :(

The forecasted top temperature for Melbourne on Wednesday was for 31 degrees, which was still hot but significantly more comfortable than 34 or 35 degrees. I knew it would be too good to be true though, because Adelaide has had a couple of consecutive 39 degree days and usually when Adelaide is that hot, Melbourne gets the heat the very next day. True enough, the top temperature ended up being 34 degrees and it was still quite uncomfortable at night.

With Wednesday being the fifth consecutive day of 30+ degree Celsius temperatures that Melbourne has experienced, this makes it the hottest stretch of temperatures during Spring Melbourne has ever had. In fact, the forecast for is for 30+ degrees at least until Monday, where the temperature MIGHT cool down to 27 degrees. Considering that a few days ago, the predicted temperature for next Monday was a low 21 degrees, the weather patterns have changed a fair bit. UGH!

I just hope that the temperature cools down significantly in time for our wedding. I don't mind it being sunny, in fact I'd prefer the sun to the rain on our big day, but at the same time, I don't want to have a wedding in scorching heat!

A lot of work today again and I went through the paces like a zombie. Before I knew it, it was already 2pm and I still hadn't had lunch. Very happy to take a break before throwing myself back into the work.

More wedding stuff organised and finalised at night. I finalised the wedding ceremony service booklet, all the prayers and stuff, bar the cover, so it's now ready for printing. Aeris and Mum also finalised the menu of the food to order at Gold Leaf restaurant for the family dinner on the day of the wedding; that one's going to be a big one with 23 people there! I tried making a booking the night before the wedding, but Gold Leaf had a major function that night, so we had to revert to our original plans of having dinner on the night of the wedding.

Mum also worked out the order of who Aeris and I needed to serve tea to during the traditional Chinese tea ceremony. Aeris has got the teapot and the cups and we've put them aside to be brought down to Potters on the day itself. Mum also got a little "snippet" of information regarding tea ceremonies which I'll give to Chris to read out because most of our Australian friends and colleagues wouldn't know what the tea ceremony was about and would never have seen one before!

Okies, it's after 4am now and I'm still wide awake. I think I should try going back to bed and try to get some sleep and then wake up in another two hours' time.
